WITH THE POSSIBILITY OF A ONE MONTH NATIONAL LOCKDOWN STARTING NEXT WEEK - ARE YOU PREPARED?

The BBC News are saying there is to be a Government announcement at 4pm today - October 31st and it sounds as if because regional measures are not working due to high infection rates it looks like we ‘MAY’ be going into national lockdown from next week until 1st December so be prepared to having to possibly postpone your clients in this time period till later. They may want to first avoid a national lockdown and go into a 4th Tier which involves stricter measures but the majority are favouring a national lockdown so let’s see.

We would recommend you obviously WAIT for confirmation this afternoon before you contact your clients as things can change. To be honest it’s so quiet due to regional lockdowns and people who don’t want to travel or who are not confident to get back to normal it probably is a good idea to try and get on top of things otherwise just doing regional lockdowns will cripple us all anyway! The medical experts are saying two weeks won’t be long enough and a waste of time so it needs to be longer.

France and Spain are doing this and Belgium apparently are following and others and although the Government are reluctant as people are not following the rules it’s the next step. Schools and Universities may remain open and educational settings.

We want to be here for our students and help as much as we can like during the last lockdown (you do not have to have already trained with us as you can set this up now so you can be prepared moving forwards) we know that things like network marketing or multi level selling can be a lot of work with no or little success so we want to give you some options that are more likely to help you survive - We were able to help here is how...

Update re face masks for your customers

Face masks must be worn when in-doors, they can be taken off when receiving a treatment - just read this on the latest government update on their site

It says:

7. Face coverings
Where will people need to wear face coverings?
We are now recommending that face coverings are worn in additional indoor settings and this will be enforceable in law.

Currently you are required to wear face coverings in shops, supermarkets, indoor shopping centres, indoor transport hubs and public transport.

For members of the public, from 8 August this will be expanded to include:

nail, beauty, hair salons and barbers - other than where necessary to remove for treatments

funeral directors
premises providing professional, legal or financial services
cinemas
theatres
bingo halls
concert halls
museums, galleries, aquariums, indoor zoos or visitor farms, or other indoor tourist, heritage or cultural sites
public areas in hotels and hostels
places of worship
libraries and public reading rooms
community centres
social clubs
tattoo and piercing parlours
indoor entertainment venues (amusement arcades, funfairs, adventure activities such as laser quest, go-karting, escape rooms, heritage sites)
storage and distribution facilities
veterinary services
auction houses

We recommend face coverings are worn in these settings now, but this will not be mandatory until 8 August.

Can salons continue offering other beauty services?

Yes, salons can continue to offer other services which are not around the face, provided they are done in a COVID-19 Secure way in line with guidance.

What beauty treatments are still not allowed?

Services in the highest risk zone - the area around the face - which require staff and customers to be face-to-face and in very close proximity, are not permitted at this time. Examples include, but are not limited to, facial hair removal services, facial treatments, make-up applications and eyebrow treatments.

The highest risk of transmission is through aerosols and droplets when people are in prolonged close, face-to-face contact within 2 metres. Considering the balance of risks, we are postponing the resumption of these highest risk services.

Next review 15th August at the earliest.

HOPEFULLY THINGS WILL IMPROVE IN A FEW WEEKS

SO ALL TREATMENTS FOR THE FACE FOR NEXT TWO WEEKS WILL HAVE TO BE POSTPONED AND YOU WILL NEED TO TRANSFER CLIENTS TO A LATER DATE OR PUT PAYMENT ON HOLD/CREDIT UNTIL YOU GET THE GREEN LIGHT FROM THE GOVERNMENT THEY CAN GO AHEAD AGAIN
