HOW TO BOOK - HOW TO PAY - AND WHAT HAPPENS NEXT...

This page will give you general Information about how to book with us and FAQ covering deposit payments, final balance payments, venue addresses etc.

Please take a moment to read the following page which we hope is helpful:

Bookings and Payments with Gateway are simple and easy, once you have decided on the course you wish to book we take deposit payments for courses by credit or debit card online with our safe payment system or alternatively you can pay by cheque or postal order.

 

FINAL BALANCE PAYMENT

The deposit is taken off the course fee and the VAT is included, no hidden costs.

The balance payment is paid directly to the course tutor and they will contact you by email as soon as you pay the deposit to organise this for you. Please look out for the confirmation email once you book with final payment information, these will appear within 2 - 3 working days and if not in your inbox please check your junk and delete bin as sometimes they can end up there!

You can book at any time on our website or over the phone and even the night before the course as your booking form will be sent direct to the course tutor. You will automatically receive all course venue information straight away after your booking by email.

For last minute bookings 24 hours before ONLY the final payment can be paid on the day, otherwise the final payment (for all one day courses) is 21 days before your course start date. If however you have booked the longer ITEC course they allow you to pay the final balance in 3 instalments - see course page for more details.

Venue Address

Please note we do not give out the full address of the venue one our website because in the past sometimes students have turned up on the day hoping to join a full class which is not possible. A deposit payment has to be taken first to secure your booking & wasted journeys are now avoided by us giving out full address details after a booking has been taken!

Booking for more than one place - If you wish to book more than one place for your chosen course you can easily do so when you book online with our simple booking service. There is a plus and minus option so you can increase or decrease the amount of people you wish to book.

Want to book more than one course? - You can easily book more than one course in one go. Any previous courses booked will be saved in your cart and any new ones will be added, making it easy to book more than one course at a time.

Places Available - All dates and availability are updated live as you book, once the deposit has been paid online. Please note the numbers available which are showing are correct on a minute to minute basis and will show full as soon as the course date becomes fully booked.

PAYMENT: Remember you only have to pay a small deposit to secure your place; we do not take the full course fee, this is paid directly to the tutor who will contact you with these details. You can pay them straight away or up to 21 days before your course starts giving you time to budget if needed. If you book an ITEC course in London you can pay the balance in 3 instalments.

Last minute bookings - Yes you can book last minute (you can book up to the evening before up to 8pm) you can pay cash or cheque on the day. Due to small classes places are only booked once the deposit has been paid & it is on a first come first served basis, early bookings are advised due to small classes & limited places.

Booking Conditions - Due to limited places for our courses all deposits are strictly non-refundable & non-transferable unless enough cancellation notice period is given in writing (please check our terms and conditions page for full details). What happens if a course date is postponed or cancelled by us? This is rare but the good news is that there are usually more dates available to transfer you to, which legally means the contract we have with you the student can be performed.

We are legally required (if a course is postponed and not cancelled) to offer you another date (a minimum of two other options) to fulfil our contract with regard to your booking and by having other dates on offer this means this course is still being offered and we are able to transfer you to another date. If we are not able to offer you at least two other date options for any of our tutors, you are then entitled to a refund under the trading standards distance selling regulations of your deposit and any balance payment you have paid to the tutor will be refunded in full.

However if we are able to offer you at least two other date options (within a 6 month period for our one day courses and a one year period for our longer ITEC courses) and you do not accept them and decide not to transfer, we are not liable to refund you as it is deemed legally, to still be running - a postponed course and not a cancelled course, as the course is still being offered or can be offered on alternative dates.

If we cancel a course and it is no longer running with no alternative dates available then we will refund you in full. We do also allow students to transfer their payment to not only the same course (different date) but a different course completely if preferred.

The alternative dates may not all be advertised on our Gateway Workshops website at the time of a cancelled course, however you will be put on the waiting list and your tutor or Gateway Workshops will inform you as soon as they go live and are available.

Please note we cannot be held responsible for any travel plans made by students when a course is cancelled by one of our tutors, if you have bought train tickets or taken time off work etc we cannot be held liable for any refunds of travel tickets or monies lost for time taken off from work or money paid to child minders etc. We are unable to reimburse any students for any outlays lost when a course is cancelled.

Venue Address & Course Details - should you choose to pay your deposit online the teacher’s full venue address and contact details will automatically be emailed to you for your reference, once the transaction is successfully completed. You will also get a booking email from our database and then you will be sent an email confirming the booking within 3 days from the tutor with directions to the venue and further payment information.

Final payment for our one day courses is to be paid no later than 21 days before the start date or 4 weeks if it is an ITEC course. ITEC Courses can be paid in instalments, please see course page for details. If you book a course close to the start date you can pay the final balance immediately to the tutor who will contact you directly for final payment once you have booked and paid your deposit.

Please look out for your tutor confirmation as it has important details & remember to check your junk or delete bin for email confirmations if it does not arrive in your inbox.
