Professional, passionate and empathetic complementary therapist looking to support the next generation to reach their learning goals.
Diane began training in complementary therapies in 2009, motivated by her desire for a new career path in which she could support, nurture and help others through the power of touch. She undertook her first course in reflexology, immersing her in the world of massage and healing for the first time. Inspired by her practice on clients during the course, and in particular the positive healing effect she could see as a result, Diane knew this was the right path for her and has never looked back.
Since then, Diane has undertaken over 30 complementary therapy courses, covering a variety of massage and spiritual healing. Her favourites include: Indian Head Massage, since it allows people with physical disabilities to more easily access massage therapies; Ayurvedic Face Massage, since it embodies the core principles of holistic healing; and Reflexology for Preconception and Pregnancy, for the support that Diane has been able to give to women experiencing difficulties conceiving, and the relief she has been able to provide during labour.
From her continued training and professional development, Diane has launched a successful career in complementary therapies. She currently works with people with learning disabilities and mental health difficulties in supported and residential living homes; with corporate clients, offering seated-acupressure massage in offices; and with private clientele. Previously, Diane has worked with the NHS providing holistic and complementary therapies to patients and families at a hospice; and has offered her services at charitable events, such as Stand Up to Cancer.
Diane’s joint passion for her profession and learning and development led her to complete an Adult Education Teaching qualification in 2015. Since then, Diane has designed and taught a variety of bespoke complementary therapy courses through her professional brand. Now looking to reach a wider community and support the next generation of holistic and complementary therapists, Diane is excited to join the Gateway community.
