I’ve been a massage therapist for over 20 years and I still love it. Even now I attend courses both in England and the USA to keep informed about new techniques. This is one of the reasons that I love massaging, learning brings new energy to me and the treatments that I give clients.
I love teaching with Gateway because the classes are so small which means that I can really give personal tuition to students. The atmosphere in the classroom is always great and the manuals are set out so clearly that it makes it easy to review the course content when you get home.
My massage journey started in India in 1990, since then I’ve had clinics in both London and Brighton and massaged behind the scenes at Wembley before the stars go on stage. I also worked for 10 years doing on-site massage for large companies. I have a busy practice in Brighton and teach for Gateway Workshops in London.
Jan looked very professional she encouraged us to share feedback all day and that really helped us to learn the technique and learn more about the pressure to use. Jan also gave us tips on how to share feedback in a constructive and positive way. By sharing feedback, the group had the opportunity not only to learn more but also to feel comfortable and have fun with it.
At the end of the day, she prepared the room as if it was more of a real therapy room (darker and with soft music) and gave us time to give/receive the entire sequence. Jan is so great and the course was amazing beginning to end! I would go on a course with Jan any day! It was a lovely day! Manuals are very good too.
If I decided to attend more courses, for sure you would be my first choice and I would highly recommend to anyone. It was a very good experience. Good value for money too.
