My journey as a therapist began 22 years ago when I first trained in beauty and applied sciences. During my training, I became really passionate about and loved learning massage and Anatomy and Physiology. It was at this stage that I knew this was the route I would follow.
I then enjoyed working in a salon for many years, gaining experience, while continuing my education, completing an HNC in business and complementary therapies. At this stage, I knew my passion was to teach someday.
Life events then took us to live in Canada for many years. I worked part-time, self-employed, offering mainly massage treatments. I love to keep learning and decided to do a diploma in Interior Design, which I used to help with planning work for my husband’s business.
In 2019, we decided to move back to Ireland. I then set up my own holistic business. I offer various massage treatments, Reflexology, facials, skincare, and pamper packages. Over the past 6 years, I’ve continued to learn, gaining more knowledge and skills. I did many of my courses through Gateway, which helped me grow in the industry, gain more clients and grow my business. I believe it’s important to keep learning and up to date to improve and add to your skills and knowledge. This will set you apart from others in the industry.
Moving back to Ireland started me on my spiritual journey. I would describe myself as a spiritual, caring, nurturing person. I love to meditate, do yoga and Pilates, walk in nature and practice mindfulness.
I now work part-time with my clients and teach part-time. I like to bring a student-centred approach to the classroom, where each of you will learn and gain more knowledge and skills in a fun, safe, nurturing environment.
