Prior to joining Gateway I have taught in further education colleges, a private beauty school and within adult education. I have taught ITEC, VTCT, NVQ qualifications and one day courses.

I have been a sports therapist for over 10 years, this interest led me to study Sports Therapy (BSc) at undergraduate level,where I fell in love with sports massage and anatomy. I love sharing my experience, knowledge and passion with my learners, and helping them on their journeys to becoming amazing therapists.

Lizzie Patchett

With over 20 years of experience in the spa and wellness industry, I bring a wealth of hands-on knowledge and international expertise to my teaching. I’m a qualified tutor with a GNVQ Level 3 and a range of certifications in massage and beauty therapies, including lash lifts, intimate waxing, Swedish massage, hot stone therapy, lymphatic drainage, natural face lift massage, dermaplaning, and microneedling.

My journey as a therapist began 22 years ago when I first trained in beauty and applied sciences. During my training, I became really passionate about and loved learning massage and Anatomy and Physiology. It was at this stage that I knew this was the route I would follow.

I have been lucky enough to travel the globe and work in some of the world's leading hotel spas, then in the UK training beauty therapists in 5* treatments standards and became a trainer for ESPA, where I spent many years training in beautiful holistic treatments and routines.

Maxine is a natural psychic and teaches from the heart, with a strong interest in not only teaching clear techniques but lifting self esteem and personal inspiration, making her a very popular tutor.

I left FE in 2021 to prioritise my own business, NJ Fitness and Massage, which involved a large range of community fitness classes specialising in pregnancy and postnatal. I also started to offer a wider range of massage treatments from my own treatment room.

With over 22 years of experience as a bodyworker and therapist, my teaching focuses on supporting students to develop confidence, clear boundaries, and trust in their embodied intelligence. I aim to provide a structured, supportive learning environment that encourages experiential learning through breath, movement, sensation, and presence. 

Sam Dale Hastings

I have been in the health and wellness industry since 2005 and have owned five award-winning clinics across Scotland, giving me extensive hands-on experience in both client care and business leadership. Over the years, I’ve trained extensively in modalities such as Deep Tissue Massage, Reflexology, Indian Head Massage, and advanced ESPA body treatments, as well as connective tissue and myofascial release techniques.

My name is Sital Ladva. I have been working in the beauty/massage industry for the past 16 years. I have always been about the industry and at the age of 16 I joined Reading College to study Massage, Hair & Beauty.

As well as teaching for Gateway I work in a private practice, treating sports injuries and using holistic therapies for relaxation and wellness. I have lectured in further education and continue to teach group fitness and rehabilitation classes.
