The Most Popular Spa Treatments
Body Brushing
Using the gentle massaging action of a dry natural sisal brush is an easy and inexpensive way of stimulating the circulation and lymphatic system, helping to eliminate toxins from the client’s body. The elimination process of the body can become more effective, not only improving the appearance of their skin but also giving general health benefits - such as improving blood circulation and the immune system, improving the appearance of cellulite and reducing water retention, leaving the skin firmer and smoother. Dry Body brushing is often done in spas as part of detoxification and slimming treatments.
Body Exfoliation
These are used to remove dead cells from the surface of the skin and stimulates the blood and lymph circulation in the area that has been treated. Exfoliation stimulates the flow of blood to the surface of the skin and the products applied to the skin after exfoliation are easily absorbed in the dermal layers. Fine abrasive materials can be massaged over the surface of the skin to remove the hardened rougher layer of the skin and this will also remove any excess cells that have not been removed by the cleansing.
Training Will Include Deep Cleansing Back Treatment
This is like giving the back a full facial, demonstration will include the use of cleansers, exfoliators, toners, masks, massage and a deep cleansing mask and application of hydrating lotions over the back, students will then work on each other. The exfoliation should be carried out on a weekly basis to brighten up the complexion and refine the skin texture and can be extended to cover the whole body, offering repeat business.
Body Wraps
A popular treatment at most Salons and Spas. There are many types of spa body wrap treatments used for a variety of reasons, helping clients to tone, soften the skin and remove toxins, excess inches and water in the body. Usually made from a combination of natural minerals and herbs. The benefits are noticed right away and offer you repeat business. A demonstration of the full body wrap using blankets with demonstration of the exfoliation process, followed by body mask, wrapping the body using a thermal foil blanket and towels and then mask removal (without shower)and then body moisturising will be given and students will then work on each other.
Products Used
Our beauty courses offer the opportunity to train in the technical aspects of application of the materials required for your chosen course, without losing valuable practical time trying to sell you products. We show you how to effectively use the product to achieve fantastic results, that will build your client list and your business.
Our certification is not brand specific. In some cases you insurance may be invalid if you train with a branded product detailed on your training certificate and you then change to another brand. This also allows us to offer our training courses at a lower cost allowing you to spend what is right for you on the necessary products rather than buying unnecessary and costly equipment.
Some of the beauty courses have kits available to buy on the day enabling you to continue to build your confidence and skills immediately upon your return home.
Your tutor will advise you if a kit is available for your course, when confirming your booking. Some kits may require payment in advance and other may be available for purchase on the training day.
A variety of products including, wraps (bandages, plastic and foils) with examples of other products used will be available for students to try out according to their client’s skin type and to enable the student to build a better knowledge of the products available on the market.
