Alison Baker

I took my first ITEC qualification in 1993 and quickly realised that I had a passion for this industry that led me to gaining a further 9 ITEC qualifications in Complementary Therapies over the next few years. I started my career as a therapist in a Hilton hotel and later took over the treatment room as my own business. I have also worked as a mobile and on site therapist and in an airline lounge spa. I am kind, patient and have a desire to help others and during my studies, my course tutor recommended that I consider becoming a massage tutor.

Prior to joining Gateway I have taught in further education colleges, a private beauty school and within adult education. I have taught ITEC, VTCT, NVQ qualifications and one day courses.

My other area of interest is in maternity and postnatal care and I have worked with pregnant and postnatal mums and babies for many years and have my own antenatal classes company.

I look forward to offering massage courses in London so you can begin your journey to a new career. Not many jobs offer a calm, relaxed, stress free working day and a thank you at the end of each treatment as well as a great hourly rate.
