My interest in massage and complementary therapies began at the age of ten when I discovered how to give a back massage. What initially started out as a hobby, has now turned into a very rewarding and exciting career. After studying English at University, I moved to Japan for 3 years to teach English and expand my horizons.
I studied aikido, yoga, shiatsu and experienced a unique and beautiful style of Japanese living. During this time I also travelled extensively through South East Asia, which provided me with the opportunity to experience and learn the many different styles of massage and therapies unique to each country.
When I returned home, I started work for a busy media company which, although stressful was very enjoyable. During this time I studied in the evenings and weekends to build up my qualifications in complementary therapies, as I knew that this is where my future lay.
After spending a year in Australia in 2006, where I worked in the health industry and travelled extensively, I decided to return to Ireland and start up my own company "Zenbu Massage & Yoga". This combined with teaching for Gateway Workshops in Belfast which allows me to fulfill my passion for health and complimentary therapies. I love nothing more than sharing my knowledge, as I believe these therapies can make a really special and wonderful difference to our quality of life.
Suzannes presentation was excellent and easy to take on board. Her experience as a therapist really shines through, it was a great day thank you.
