My interest in massage and complementary therapies began at the age of ten when I learnt how to give a back massage. What initially started out as a hobby has now turned into a very rewarding and exciting career.
After university my desire to travel took me to Japan where I lived for 3 years teaching English. I studied aikido, yoga, shiatsu and experienced a unique and beautiful style of Japanese life. During this time I also travelled extensively through South East Asia and India which provided me with the opportunity to experience and learn the many different styles of massage and therapies unique to each country.
Returning home, I worked for a busy media company which, although stressful was very enjoyable. During this time I studied in the evenings and weekends to build up my qualifications in complementary therapies and as a yoga teacher as I knew that this is where my future lay.
After spending a year in Australia in 2006, where I worked in the health industry and travelled extensively, I decided to return home to Ireland to start up my own company "Zenbu Massage & Yoga". With 18 years’ experience as a yoga teacher I specialise in offering yoga and massage to mums and babies during the pre and post-natal period. There is nothing more rewarding than supporting a mother through this journey and sharing the gift of yoga and massage with her and her baby.
This combined with teaching for Gateway Workshops in Belfast allows me to fulfil my passion for health and complementary therapies. I find joy in the small things, in nature, in connecting with people and sharing my passion for health and wellbeing through the teachings of yoga and massage. Driven by my passion for self-healing I like to stay curious and continue to learn, study and expand my offerings to enrich the lives of my friends, family, students and clients.
I love nothing more than sharing my knowledge and look forward to welcoming you to these fantastic courses in Belfast.
Suzannes presentation was excellent and easy to take on board. Her experience as a therapist really shines through, it was a great day thank you.
