Course Aims:
In this course, you will learn a safe and effective pregnancy massage routine whilst understanding how pregnancy affects the mother's body physically, mentally and emotionally.
You will understand why certain positions are more comfortable and safer during pregnancy massage allowing you to be confident and proficient when massaging pregnant women in addition to increasing your client base.
Furthermore we have devised our pregnancy massage course to incorporate the common ailments associated with pregnancy.
These include leg cramping, lower back pain, oedema of the feet, ankles and lower legs, breathing problems and of course one of the most prevalent issues during all trimesters, nausea and morning sickness.
Just 6 students per class offering one to one attention.
The stimulating effects of the massage strokes help to increase circulation, which will increase the flow of nutrients delivered to the baby via the placenta.
Massage techniques shown to aid the lymphatic system by stimulating the white cells of the immune system, encouraging the elimination of waste and toxins, which will help relieve oedema or swelling.
This is one of our most popular courses for many years, you will be taught by very experienced tutors in this field and they are available after your course for any after-care advice for your clients and questions that you may have.
Comprehensive manual is included in your course.

Benefits
Studies show that women who receive regular massages have fewer complications during their pregnancy and labour and that their babies are more settled and content, suffering fewer baby ailments.
Although pregnancy is a wonderful time, many changes take place in the mother's body as the baby develops. This can put strain and pressure on the joints, ligaments and organs causing some pain and discomfort which massage can help alleviate.
In addition research also shows that the baby can greatly benefit from massage as endorphins (feel good chemicals) are released by the mother during massage that are passed onto the baby. Quite often the therapist will feel the baby kick and move as it too responds to the massage treatment.
