In my early career, I was a childcare practitioner working in crèches & children’s nurseries. I worked overseas for a holiday company running children’s clubs. When I returned, I went into training & assessing vocational students in nurseries & schools. I progressed & worked in a local further educational college, teaching & training students aged 16+ and adult learners.

Sadly, in 2013, I was made redundant, which gave me a chance to retrain. I was always interested in Holistic Therapies, I started with L2 Beauty Therapy & set up a mobile business doing treatments while training in L3 complementary therapies, including Reflexology, Aromatherapy & Massage - this is where I found my passion!

Once qualified, I started working in a luxury spa & was quickly promoted to manager, with lots of responsibilities including recruitment & training staff.

In 2019, an opportunity to work for myself came up, I took a leap of faith & never looked back! My business is in the gorgeous seaside village of Marske by the Sea in a lovely place called The Retreat. I love what I do, and being able to pass on my skills and knowledge by teaching for Gateway Workshops fills me with joy.
