I have been interested in complementary therapies and in particular massage since I was a teenager, but it wasn't until I'd had my 3rd child that I finally got the chance to train as a holistic massage practitioner. I quickly followed this with Indian Head massage, Sports massage, Reflexology and Reiki.
I am trained in Massage, Osteopathy and Nutrition. I firmly believe that no matter what qualifications or experience one may have, we can always continue to learn from each other.
I first became interested in Massage and Natural Health whilst living in New Zealand and studied with a Naturopath where I qualified in Therapeutic Massage. On returning to this country in 1992, I studied at The Raworth Centre, a college for Sports Therapy and Natural Medicine, where I gained Internationally recognized certificates.
I enrolled on a ITEC Beauty Therapy course qualifying in Advanced beauty therapy, waxing, advanced hand and nail treatments, electrical facials, colour consultancy and LHE hair removal and have not looked back since.
Over the last 18 years I have continued to build upon my own skills and share my knowledge with students, helping people to heal is my life’s work & it gives me much joy in being able to offer treatments & classes to people from all walks of life.
In the early nineties I started going for Reiki treatments, this introduction to Reiki changed my career path. After receiving many treatments I went on to do Usui Reiki First Degree followed six months later by 2nd Degree and ultimately Reiki Master / Teacher. My next course was Hopi Ear Candles followed by Indian Head Massage.
Change is a passion and within my DNA so it’s only natural that I’m doing what I love as a change coach.
Over the past 46 years, like many of you, I’ve gone through many transitions and transformations: from being an extremely shy and introverted teenager to taking to the stage and appearing at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival.
