From a young age I have always had a passion to help others, I have always worked in customer-focused environments, assisting others the best way I could. I have been athletic from a young age and was always interested in the body, the muscles, and keeping strong, both in body and mind.
In my late teenage years, I realised, alongside playing football that massage helps, not with just relaxing muscles and dealing with physical issues, but is great for your emotional well-being too. I started massaging family and friends, researching different ailments they would have and the steps to take to improve their overall health.
Finally, at the age of 22, I decided to pursue massage as a career, studying and working full time, then slowly practising massage and building my client base.
I currently have a successful mobile massage business, offering a range of massages, and running successful baby massage classes. My primary focus in my practice is the wellbeing of others, and the knowledge I can share to improve my clients' physical and mental health.
Whilst travelling in South East Asia, I continued my passion for massage and studied Thai Massage and Tok Sen massage in Chaing Mai. Sharing and gaining knowledge with various people I met along the way was amazing and I continue to share my experiences.
Delivering baby massage classes was when I realised I had a passion for teaching, involving parents within my classes, sharing my knowledge of baby massage as well as adult massage is brilliant, so when given the opportunity to become a massage tutor with Gateway Workshops I was very excited to pursue this and join the team.
Bethanie was a fantastic tutor! She was such lovely personable and knowledgeable person who made us feel very welcome and relaxed. She obviously loves what she does and the day flew past. I will definitely be recommending this course because of my experience.
