Ellen is a wonderful tutor and, as stated above, she has wonderful patience and provides information in an easy to understand method. She also provides us with great tips to use and I love attending these courses.

The venue is clean, professional and a lovely environment in which to be trained. I studied at the Paisley venue.

The course more than met my expectations. I am considering booking another course - my fourth - in the very near future.

I enjoy learning skills in one day rather than attending college for months. I feel I learn more at these courses as well. It is a great way to add to my portfolio quickly!

We found that simple drawings are easier to mark out (directional arrows) which can be lost on photos we appreciate these may look rather basic but it is an added visual tool which we hope you found useful.

The manuals are very useful. I like the hand drawings better than photographs as they are easier to understand.

Maxine was the perfect tutor from start to finish. An excellent facilitator that made learning interesting and absorbing. We were not rushed and her expectations were high, which made me feel confident in that what I had learnt warranted a certificate. The premises were easy to find and such an added feature being housed in a spiritual shop, with a stimulating local environment. I have been made to feel confident with my new found skill and have started practicing already to obtain the optimum benefits learnt. Thank you so much :)

Maxine's knowledge and understanding of her skills and beyond were transfered to us throughout the course. She is a natural teacher and has a very good rapour with her students. She made us feel confident in what we were doing and was able to quickly rectify any corrections that we needed to do without embarrassment. I would definitely book another course if I knew that Maxine was the tutor.

I attended the Hot Stones Massage course in Paisley on 17 August 20 12. The trainer was Ellen Keir. She was totally professional, warm , friendly and kind in her manner towards us. The course was very well run, kept to the timetable and most enjoyable.The venue was easy to find and great for public transport. Starting at 10.30 was ideal for those of us travelling a long distance.

Warm, friendly, kind and with a sense of humour. Also very professional, efficient, good time-keeper and open to questions at any point. Good at just checking if we were all understanding the massage strokes, procedures and techniques we were learning.

Excellent location - good for public transport and easy to find. Venue had good facilities, clean comfortable, bright and airy while at the same time being a working clinic with clients coming and going but in another part of the premises.

Yes, the course more than lived up to my expectations - it was great! I certainly would consider attending another Gateway course - for all the reasons given already - the tutor, the course, the venue, the timetable. The best thing was that we were all respected as being fully trained , professional therapists and therefore we were able to and expected to, pick things up quite quickly.

Yes Yes - I needed to contact her in advance and she responded very quickly. She is very approachable and I would imagine she would be very helpful if I needed some further advice. She made it quite clear that we are welcome to contact her after the course oif required.
